Growing up in Simi Valley...
I thought it was so boring. Now, as a photographer, I think it's so cool. We have a lot of nature and incredible hiking trails that other places just don't have. It's no wonder that Corriganville Regional Park is still a hot spot for movie filming. Recently, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood was filmed here. I actually did a session around that time (not this one) and saw the trailers set up and blocked off. Sadly, no glimpses of Leonardo DiCaprio though. But dang, how cool to live so close to a movie location like this! Plus, it's right down the street from Hummingbird Nest Ranch, a wedding venue that celebrities frequently book and that I'm definitely low key dying to work at.
Other Simi Valley wedding venues include:
- Quail Ranch: Known for its beautiful Spanish-style architecture, lush gardens, and sweeping mountain views, Quail Ranch offers an intimate and picturesque setting for weddings.
- The Vineyards: This venue, where Heather and Kenny tied the knot, is nestled in the hills and offers both indoor and outdoor spaces with stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
- Strathearn Historic Park: Perfect for couples who want a rustic, vintage vibe, this park features historic buildings and beautiful outdoor areas that make for charming and unique wedding photos.
- Hummingbird Nest Ranch: Oh, did I mention this one already? With its Mediterranean architecture, mountain views, and luxury amenities, it's no wonder that this venue is a top pick for celebrities and couples alike.
Back to Heather and Kenny: Their wedding had a "Til Death Do Us Part" theme, so they chose all black for their engagement session colors. I love it and think it suits them both so well. Heather and Kenny have super fun personalities that really shine in their photos, and we all had a lot of fun!
